How it runs
Access and scope, day zero
Repository, a deployed URL, and the one question you most want answered. If there is no question yet, the first hour is spent finding it.
Measure
Lighthouse and PageSpeed on both themes and both form factors, Search Console and analytics if you have them, real transfer sizes rather than lab scores alone. Numbers with dates on them, so they can be re-run later and compared.
Read the code
The parts that will hurt next: type coverage, error paths, the places state is duplicated, dependencies with no owner, and whatever the build is quietly doing that nobody has looked at in a year.
Report
One document. Every finding carries evidence, an effort estimate and the payoff, sorted so the top of the list is the cheapest real win. Anything I could not verify is marked as unverified rather than smoothed over.
Questions
What if you find nothing?
Then the report says so, and you have an outside opinion that the build is sound - which is worth having before a rewrite gets proposed. It has not happened yet.
Do I have to hire you for the fixes?
No. The report is written so your own team or another contractor can act on it. If you do want the work done, the audit fee comes off the first invoice.
Three days of your time, or three days elapsed?
Elapsed. Roughly fifteen hours of work inside a three-day window, which is what keeps the fee where it is.
Can you audit something that is not a web app?
Web and SaaS products, browser extensions, and the infrastructure under them. Not mobile - I do not build native, so I would be guessing.
