Save Image As Type - image format extension
- Chrome MV3
- TypeScript
- Vite
- Canvas API
- AVIF
- 52 locales
- Astro
Right-click any image, or use the button that appears over it, and save it as JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or PDF. Conversion runs locally through the Canvas API, with AVIF encoded in the browser by @jsquash/avif, so no image leaves the machine. The extension is TypeScript strict on Vite with the CRXJS plugin, ships its store listing and UI in 52 locales, and carries about 1,400 automated test cases across Vitest and Playwright. The landing and blog at imageastype.com are Astro. Built and maintained by me; published in the Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons and Firefox Add-ons.
